Kakinada: The East Godavari district administration suspended a VAO and a computer operator of Virava village in Pithapuram mandal in connection with the death of an old- age pensioner A Venkata Lakshmi on Monday. These details were announced by PD, DRDA , S Mallibabu at Vigilene and Monitoring Commitree meet ing here on Tuesday.
He said that by mistake the name of the deceased Venkata Lakshmi was deleted and the pension was stopped since November 2015. Venkata Lakshmi came to Collectorate on Monday to represent the issue and collapsed there. Later she was declared brought dead by KGGH doctors. Amalapuram MP P Ravindrababu in his capacity as member of the Committee recommended for compensation to the kin of the decreased in additon to clearance of pending pension dues.
