Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu appealed to youth and students to practice yoga to inculcate discipline and to pave way for the development of the country. He along with Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu participated in the International Yoga Day celebrations organised here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was successful in making yoga an international practice. “As many as 55 yoga training centres were set up in the State. Students should find out the roots of yoga by practicing it to emerge as disciplined citizens,” he said.

Addressing the participants, Union Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu emphasised the need for practicing yoga to maintain health and lead stress-free life. “The society will benefit by practicing yoga regularly. The initiative of Prime Minister in making the International Yoga Day celebrations, an annual affair shows his far sightedness in taking the country and the people forward on the path of development,” he added.
