Tirupati: The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly (APLA) Committee on Assurances expressed its displeasure on the poor maintenance of TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshna Shala (SVGS) here on Wednesday.
The APLA panel led by its Chairman Pendurthi Venkatesh have visited the sprawling SVGS at Thummalagunta area near here and pulled up the authorities for its tardy maintenance and also for their failure to ensure proper feed to the dumb animals, after seeing some of the emaciated cows with protruding bones in the farm.
Speaking on the occasion, Venkatesh said that the animals are not fed and the Goshala not kept tidy and clean despite TTD having enough funds.
“You should ensure proper environment that should evoke pious feeling and enhance spiritual ambience here as devotees too are coming here to worship the cows,” he said expressing his ire openly at TTD officials.
