Free RTC bus services from Pushkar Nagars to ghats likely
Guntur District Collector Kantilal Dande directed the RTC Guntur region officials to provide free bus services for the pilgrims from Pushkar Nagars to ghats. In response to the request, the RTC officials sent a proposal to the higher officials.
Amaravati:The APSRTC is likely to operate free city bus services from Pushkar Nagars to Pushkar ghats for the convenience of the pilgrims during Krishna Pushkaralu.
Guntur District Collector Kantilal Dande directed the RTC Guntur region officials to provide free bus services for the pilgrims from Pushkar Nagars to ghats. In response to the request, the RTC officials sent a proposal to the higher officials.
The government as well as RTC management is expected to take a decision very soon. If this proposal is translated into action, pilgrims in Krishna, Guntur and Kurnool districts will get free transport facility from Pushkar Nagars to Pushkar ghats.
APSRTC Guntur regional manager G Srihari said, “APSRTC Guntur region will operate 600 additional bus services to 79 Pushkar ghats in Guntur district for the convenience of the pilgrims.
In case of need, the RTC will get buses from other regions and operate buses for Pushkaralu. At present, the RTC is operating 250 buses to Amaravati, Seethanagaram and up to VP South. It will operate another 600 buses. Temporary bus stands will be set up at Pushkar Nagars.”
