MLC Ramu Suryarao distributed notebooks to 49 students at his residence in Postal Colony here on Sunday.
Eluru: MLC Ramu Suryarao distributed notebooks to 49 students at his residence in Postal Colony here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLC called upon people to give back to society.
He stated that education is a fundamental right of every child.
He said that he along with his wife Vijayalakshmi had been donating their pension to fund the education of students to ensure that no child drops out of school because of poverty.
The MLC praised donors for providing boarding facility to students. He advised students to develop competitive spirit so that they can reach new heights.
Corporator Dakarapu Rajeswara Rao said that the MLC had educated many students including him.
He along with RSR Finance proprietor R Nageswara Rao announced that they would fund the education of poor students.
