Visakhapatnam: Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, which is keen to have a tie-up in research collaborations, discussed the modalities with GITAM University authorities at a meeting here on Wednesday in which GITAM president Dr M V V S Murthi was also present.

Majority of countries are giving top priority to the Indian youth and it is up to the youth to utilise the opportunity,” he said.
Informing that the NTU is also giving equal priority to Indians.

Appreciating the GITAM University for showing keen interest in the best research works, he assured that the NTU will give importance to GITAM in doing joint PhD programmes and research internships to help strengthen the academic base of both the universities.

GITAM president Murthi replied that GITAM University is ready to tie up with the NTU and expand facilities in the State, particularly in Vizag city and they are also planning to support the students and faculty members through skill upgradation programmes. Both Vizag and Hyderabad GITAM campuses are equally have strong research groups to have international tie-ups, he added.

GITAM Vice-Chancellor Prof M S Prasada Rao, Pro Vice- Chancellor Prof K Sivarama Krishna and registrar Prof M Potharaju were also present.
