As the Andhra Pradesh government announced Rs 3 crore cash prize, a 1000-sq yard house plot at Amaravati and a Group I officer post, the Telangana government went a step ahead and decided to give a cash award of Rs 5 crore, a suitable job, 1000-sq yard plot and a cash reward of Rs 1 crore to Sindhu's coach P Gopichand.

This is not all, senior actor and YSRCP leader Vijaychandra announced that he would gift two-acre land to Sindhu. “The land is located at Karakapatla near the farmhouse of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

We’ll register the land in Sindhu’s name and our party president YS Jagan will hand over the registered documents to Sindhu,” said Vijayachandar.

Earlier, the Delhi’s AAP government has also decided to give a cash reward of Rs 2 crore to Sindhu and Rs 1 crore for Sakshi Malik as part of its policy to promote sports in the country.

The Indian Badminton Federation announced Rs 50 lakh to Sindhu and Rs 10 lakh to coach Gopichand.Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, while announcing the package to the shuttle player, said the government would also extend Rs 50 lakh to Sindhu’s coach Pullela Gopichand.

It also decided to give Rs 50 lakh to Sakshi Malik. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao also decided to give Rs 1 crore to wrestler Sakshi Malik for her Bronze medal.
