The parlays with fellow Kapu leaders at Kirlampudi on Thursday and the decision to form village, mandal and district-wise committees across the State from Dasara are said to be part of the move. However, speculation is rife that Madragada may not get same patronage from youth, as he saw during the meet at Tuni. Lukewarm response was observed during his 11-day fast in the month of August, indicating dwindling support from youth.

But, Vasireddy Yesu Dasu, Kapu Sadbhavana Sangam. East Godavari wing president asserts that youth always stood by Mudragada. “The poor turnout during the fast was due to police restrictions,” he said. The close aide of Mudragada also brushed aside Pawan Kalyan effect on the turnout for the fasting camp.

Meanwhile, TDP, BJP and Congress leaders strongly believe that the veteran Kapu leader lost his touch with youth. The reason attributed for this was youth’s inclination towards Jena Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.

Kapu Mahanadu founder president Janapamula Nagenda Kumar alias Indrapalem Naga Babu observed that the youth were interested in getting benefit from the Kapu Corporation loans. “We have initiated measures to get maximum benefit to these sections by providing more exposure on the system and the benefits. This might be keeping the youth away from taking up agitation,” he remarked.

Senior TDP leader and Kapu Corporation director Yerra Venugopal Rayudu observed that the youth seems to be realigning the facts. “They also found that leaders like Dasari Narayana Rao, Botcha Satyanarayana, Chiranjeevi, MM Pallam Raju, who were rejected cannot deliver the goods,” he observed.

The government-appointed Manjunatha Commission, which is undertaking a survey, is expected to submit its report by the end of this month. Sources in TDP said that the Chief Minister would clear the report in the winter session of the Assembly and would send the same to Parliament.

Senior Congress leader Pantam Venkateswara Rao alias Nanaji, a close aide of former Union HRD Minister M M Pallam Raju admitted that youth were sailing with Pawan Kalyan and Jana Sena.

Meanwhile, Rajamahendravaram MLA and senior BJP leader Dr Akula Satyanarayana felt that lack of clear agenda and the mode of conduct of agitation might be the reasons for youth moving pout from Mudragada. However APCC general secretary Gidugu Rudraraju observed that youth support to Mudragada is intact, in his native Konaseema, a known Kapu bastian.
