Visakhapatnam: GITAM University is offering specially designed MBA programme through distance mode for engineering graduates to help development of their career. The university is offering two year MBA programme through its Distance Learning Centre with permission of Distance Education Bureau and University Grants Commission.
Launching the MBA study material at CDL Office here on Tuesday, CDL director Dr T Srinivas said they received overwhelming response from the students during the present academic year. He said that 80 per cent of the new batch MBA students are with engineering background. He stated that most of the engineering graduates are in search of jobs and if they get any placement during the course period the distance MBA programme facilitate them to continue the course.
The CDL is preparing e-learning study material, online classes to those students to help them to study even in their travel and leisure time, he added.
He said that the GITAM CDL incorporated MBA subjects like Business Analytics, Business Process Reengineering, System Analysis and Design and e-commerce in view of increasing demand for IT in all sectors.
They specially designed subjects related to health care sector like organisation and management of hospital services, total quality management and accreditation of hospitals, hospital management information systems, patient care management legal framework of hospital management, marketing of health care services.
