Visakhapatnam: The proposed FinTech Valley in Visakhapatnam would change the face and fortune of the city, said HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, while launching the week-long Digital Summit programme at Andhra University, here on Monday.

The Summit is being organised in association with the Miracle Software Systems. Speaking on thes occasion, the Minister said that the FinTech Valley would be developed on the lines of Silicon Valley.

An extent of 100-acre land has been earmarked for the FinTech Valley to encourage the young entrepreneurs by allotting them 500 odd square yard of land to each.

Later, speaking on necessity of computer literacy, he said common people should start adopting technology as it would weed out the bogus beneficiaries.

Andhra Pradesh has less impact of demonetisation due to the proactive IT initiatives of the TD government, he added.

The Minister has appreciated the initiative of Miracle Software Systems for organising the mega event which he said would help in extensive coverage of digital technology across the State.

Making AP first Digital State is the vision of Chief Minister, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said.

He said Vizag should exceed the IT presence in Cyberabad by inviting the world leaders in Computer business in product and services.

Minister for Rural Development and Housing Dr Kimidi Mrunalini said the Chief Minister always encouraged computer knowledge among the youth.

She said girls from rural and Agency areas should be made aware of importance of IT and related services.


Miracle Software Systems CEO Prasad Lokam said that the Digital Summit would showcase the talent pool of Andhra Pradesh to the world.

“About 20,000 students are expected to take part in the Digital Summit, which would be concluded with a job fair on December 15 and 16,” Prasad added.

Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Prof G Nageswara Rao and Collector Pravin Kumar spoke on the occasion.
