There was two cm of rain each in Chintapalle, Paderu (both in Vishakhapatnam), Dornipadu (Kurnool), Chilamatur (Anantapur) and one cm each in Racherla, Araku Valley and Lepakshi, the Met department bulletin said on Thursday.

According to the forecast, the day temperatures are likely to be above normal by two to three degree Celsius at isolated places in Rayalaseema for one day. As the north-south trough from south central Maharashtra to south Tamil Nadu across interior Karnataka extending up to 0.9 km above the mean sea level, now runs from Telangana to south TN and extends up to 1.5 km above the mean sea level light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in both regions of the State on April 7.

During the last 24 hours, the temperatures were above normal at one or two places in Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra. The highest maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius was recorded in Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur, the bulletin said. The other day temperatures recorded in the State were:

Nandyal, Tirupati, Jangamaheswarapuram 40 each, Nandigama 39, Kavali, Nellore, Vijayawada 38 each, Arogyavaram 37, Kakinada, Tuni 36 each, Machilipatnam, Ongole 35 each, Bapatla, Narsapur, Visakhapatnam Airport 34 each, Kalingapatnam 32, Visakhapatnam 31.
