Tadepalligudem: Endowments minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao said that a swimming pool will be constructed at a cost of Rs.1.50 crores in the town and plans have been chalked out for this.The minister flagged off the rescue boat trolley at fire station here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the trolley is necessary at the fire station to take the rescue boats to the accident sites. He has taken initiative to arrange the boat trolley to the department on the request of fire officials. He pointed out that, recently, so many people drowned in Godavari canal in the city and it was a hard time to the fire officials to save the lives of innocent.

The minister said that a swimming pool, walking track and gym centre would be set up here soon.The fire officer V Subbarao said that with the inclusion of the rescue boat trolley and emergency lighting equipment, the fire officials had the opportunity to save more lives and to extend better services. Municipal Council Floor Leader Yeggina Nagababu, BJP leaders Karri Prabhakara Balaji, Kanchumarthy Nageswara Rao, Pothula Annavaram, Valavala Suribabu and others participated in the programme.
