Tirupati: The city based ‘Tirupati United Christian Churches (TUCC)’ expressed concern over the disinformation campaign carried out by certain Hindu organisations leaders against Christians with an aim to foment trouble. TUCC honorary president pastor Arul Arasu speaking to media here on Monday appealed Tirupati Urban SP to take suitable action against those indulging in a vicious campaign against the Christians and also preventing those lawfully carrying the propagation of the religion through meetings etc.

Arasu said that Christianity centuries ago came through Portuguese to Tirupati area where many educational institutions, hospital set up along with churches were rendering service to the people since 200 years. Sadly, some people claiming as Hindu leaders deliberately trying to stall Christian activities and also through social media defaming them, using abusing languages hurting their sentiments and also endangering peace and communal harmony in the city. The pastor said that he had attached the CD containing the objectionable statements of so called Hindu leaders abusing Christians in the representation to Tirupati Urban SP seeking stern action against them.
