YSR Congress Party MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy has been put on house arrest at C Ramapuram of Chittoor district giving rise to high tension in the area.
Reports reveal that the YSRCP MLA along with other leaders supported the protests of local residents over shifting of dump yard from the region.
However, police deployed in huge numbers imposed 144 section there to disturb the gatherings, took several YSRCP leaders into custody and put Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy on house arrest.
Residents of C Ramapuram protested against the arrest of the YSRCP leaders and claimed that the police are working under pressure of the state government.
