CPI dharna for input subsidy
CPI district committee members organised a dharna at the office of Joint Director of Agriculture here on Saturday. Addressing the farmers, CPI leader Jagadish said that the state government has announced a subsidy amount of Rs 1032 crore for input subsidy payment to the district farmers.
Anantapur: CPI district committee members organised a dharna at the office of Joint Director of Agriculture here on Saturday. Addressing the farmers, CPI leader Jagadish said that the state government has announced a subsidy amount of Rs 1032 crore for input subsidy payment to the district farmers.
He said that the farmers are waiting anxiously for the input subsidy payment and for crediting the same in their accounts. There are also complaints from farmers that subsidy payment is rejected to them on technical grounds.
He sought the intervention of the district administration for hassle-free payment of input subsidy and transparency in identifying beneficiaries.
The CPI leader also pleaded for relaxing norms if some farmers on technical grounds were not covered under the scheme. He said that farmers had already suffered last year due to drought and crop loss and landed in debts.
