Fervour marks Guru Pournami at Pada Gaya

Pithapuram: The Pada Gaya pilgrimage centre was reverberated with chants of Lord Dattatreya on the occasion of Guru Pournami on Sunday. Thousands of devotees thronged various temples in the town on the occasion.

The temple was decorated with flowers and annaprasadam was offered to thronging devotees.Special pujas were performed at the temple under the supervision of Vadrevu Srinivasa Rao.

Executive officer Chandaka Dorababu, leaders Kondepudi Prakasa Rao and others performed abhishekam to avadhootas and arranged poor-feeding.

Paadapuja was performed to Sajjanagada Ramaswamy. Meanwhile, Satyanarayana Swamy vratamas have been organised at Gopal Baba ashram here.
