On the concluding day of the Dr Akkineni Nageswararao Nataka Kala Parishad two plays were staged and noted film actress Kavita was honored on Tuesday evening at Siddhartha auditorium here in the city.

The last day of the parishad commenced with the playlet ‘Gadi’ staged by SNM Club, Warangal. This playlet was written by Akella and directed by BM Reddy. This was followed by another playlet performed by Sri Sai Arts, Kolakaluru. The playlet ‘Chalu… Eka Chalu’ was written by PV Bhavani Prasad and directed by Goparaju Vijay.

Film star Kavitha was felicitated on this event by Dr Konijeti Rosaiah, former Chief Minister and the chief guest of the function, Dr Turlapati Kutumba Rao, organiser Sarepalli Kondala Rao and others.

Dr Konijeti Rosaiah, former Chief Minister and the chief guest of the function appreciated the acting of Kavitha and also said that she has acted many characters in many films with many legendary actors.

Actress Kavitha expressed her happiness for the felicitation and said that it was a great honor for her. She shared that she had started her acting career at the age of 11 and acted in 132 films. She also said that an organisation named Helping hand was floated to render service to children. Gazal Srinivas, Manepalli Lakshmi Kumari and others were also present on the dais.
