Chittoor: Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy said on Wednesday that several industrial groups are keen to set up their units in AP due to the efforts of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The Minister remarked central government had no role in setting up industries in the state.

Participating in the TDP district coordination committee meeting at party office here, the Minister slammed YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for tarnishing the image of the TD government by levelling false and baseless allegations. Jagan’s dream of becoming the Chief Minister will never be realised, the Minister said.

Amaranatha Reddy has mentioned that the several industrialists have shown interest in setting up their new units in AP because of the Chief Minister’s image. It is a record for the truncated state of Andhra Pradesh to sign 715 MoUs worth Rs 4.6 lakh crore, the Minister stated, adding 11 lakh jobs would be generated once new units are grounded.

Referring to the achievements of the TD government, Amaranatha Reddy has said that Chandrababu had attended six out of seven partnership summits held in Visakhapatnam. He further stated HNSS water would be diverted to Kuppam, Palamaner and Madanapalle towns at a cost of Rs 460 crore.

Participating in the meeting, Marketing Minister Adinarayana Reddy stressed that the TDP workers should strive for winning all the seats in the next elections. “We have to be ready to face the elections with full strength.

We should not give room for YSRCP to get a single seat in Chittoor district,” he added. TDP district president P Nani, Chittoor MLA D A Satyaprabha, Tirupati MLA Suguna, Chittoor Mayor Hemalatha, MLC Rajasimhulu and others were present.
