Amaravati: Will the TDP field candidates for three seats in the biannual general elections of Rajya Sabha? This is the mostly discussing point among the political circles in both the parties including the TDP and YSRCP in the state.

At present, according to numbers in the Assembly, the TDP will easily win two seats. If the TDP could manage to get two more votes along with defected MLAs from YSRCP to TDP, then the TDP could win third seat also.

On the other hand, the YSRCP’s candidate already filed nomination papers in the Assembly. TDP is likely announce its candidates in the party polit bureau meeting to be held on Sunday. In the meeting, Chandrababu Naidu will announce the candidates for party to contest in Rajya Sabha biannual general elections.

Noted industrialist-cum-politician Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy of Nellore district, ex chief minister of united AP Kiran Kumar Reddy’s brother Kishore Kumar from Chittoor district, Masala Veeranna’s daughter in law Masala Padmaja (Madiga), children specialist and TDP senior leader Varla Ramaiah, Mastan Rao of Yadava community, Panchumarthy Anuradha from Vijayawada and C M Ramesh, who is going to retire now are also seeking the tickets from TDP, according to highly placed sources in the polit bureau.

The elections are going to be held for a total of three seats and TDP will get two and YSRCP will get one seat, if everything goes as per the numbers at present in the Legislature Assembly. If the TDP nominates third candidate, then the political heat will generate in the state again.
