Commissioner of Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) CB Harinath Reddy has said that they are initiating all sorts of measures to deal with the drinking water problems this summer.

Kurnool : Commissioner of Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) CB Harinath Reddy has said that they are initiating all sorts of measures to deal with the drinking water problems this summer. The commissioner, accompanied by the SE Siva Rami Reddy and EE Surendra Babu, visited the water pumping station situated at Masa Masjid village on Monday and inspected the water availability in Tungabhadra river.

Later speaking to this correspondent, the Commissioner has said that as of now, there is no water problem in the city but it may arise during the coming months. It would be better if the water resources are kept ready for utilising in times of water scarcity. He said that he had ordered the officers concerned to take up the cleaning up of water tank at Munagalapadu and even asked them to take up renovation works if needed.

He later visited Santosh Nagar and inspected the water supplying tanks. He directed the officials to respond the public grievances and resolve them immediately. No one should complain about water scarcity in the colonies in the town. They are initiating steps to fix water pumping motors at old pump house, he said.

Deputy Engineer, Manohar Reddy, Raja Sekhar, Assistant Engineer, Naresh and others participated during inspection by the commissioner. Commissioner, CB Harinath Reddy inspecting the water resources in Tungabhadra River on Monday. He was accompanied with Superintending Engineer, Siva Rami Reddy, Executive Engineer, Surendra Babu and other officials.
