Kakinada: Road users in several villages on Kakinada-Pedapudi route have been facing difficulty with red gravel spread over the route as the contractor of the third bridge on salt creek connecting Medaline in Kakinada urban and Indraopalem old bridge area left heaps of red gravel on roadside.

The residents of Indraopalem, Cheedidga, and Kovvada, Repuru villages in Kakinada Rural and Rameswaram Peddada, Pedapudi and surrounding areas in Pedapudi allege neglect of the road by third bridge contractors.

They alleged that because of the rains in the last two weeks, the red gravel used in the construction spread over to the nearby Indrapalem main road resulting in lot of inconvenience as the red gravel spread to the villages en route.

The road users appeal to contractor of the third bridge to relieve them from this problem by removing the piles of gravel from the road side margins and save them from riding on the roads covered with wet gravel.
