Ongole: The Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Siddha Raghavarao requested the public to save the environment by using the clay Ganesha idols for the Vinayakachaviti celebrations.

He inaugurated the brochure by Lions Club and Seva Foundation explaining the advantages of the use of clay Ganesha, along with his wife Lakshmi Padmavathi, MLC Karanam Balarama Krishnamurthy and members of the organizations.

Raghavarao advised the public to pray to the god with the natural and eco-friendly materials so that they cannot harm the environment and Mother Nature.

He asked them to use the clay Ganesha to save the earth from the pollution of harmful chemical substances.

The Seva Foundation president, Medikonduru Aruna said that their foundation was ready to prepare and distribute clay Ganesha idols to save the environment.

She said that each idol would cost Rs 6,800 and at present they have a stock of 150 idols with them.

She asked those who were interested to put clay idols in the Vinayakachaviti pandals to contact Medikonduru Automobiles opposite RISE College in Ongole or call 9949912120 for more information.
