It’s now almost certain that there could be early polls in Telangana. Now, this has put the Congress and all other parties on a high alert. The parties feel KCR could dissolve the assembly sometime next month and might go for polls. TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy is alerting his party workers to be prepared for early polls.

But, the real worry for all the political parties lies not in Telangana, but in AP. The outcome of the polls in Telangana could have deep impact on the politics in neighbouring AP. If the Congress and the TDP could come together in Telangana, then there could a likelihood of both coming together in AP too. The outcome could also reflect the anti-incumbency factor. If there is anti-incumbency in Telangana, even Andhra ccould be affected by it.

Similarly, the response to the BJP will show if the Modi wave is still there or not. If the BJP cannot win at least five or six seats, it is likely to be washed out in AP. It will also be interesting to see how the people of Telangana react to TDP-Congress pact. Their response could have an impact in AP too. If the alliance is rejected in Telangana, then the TDP will have lot of problems in AP. It will also be interesting to see which party will the Jana Sena and YSRCP throw their lot with in Telangana.
