Kakinada: East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Mishra and Mayor Sunkara Pavani reviewed the progress of smart city phase I works and tender process for phase II road works taken up at a cost of Rs 110 crore at Collectorate here on Tuesday evening.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector directed the officials concerned that in view of CM Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Kakinada on 20 and 21 of this month, openings for the completed works under phase I and foundation settings for phase II should be taken up.
The Collector also said that Naidu during his visit to Kakinada will travel on smart road and the ongoing works on this road should be completed by September 11.
The Collector also directed the officials to prepare proposals for the indoor stadium to be taken up with Rs 20 crore at Suresh Nagar.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner K Ramesh an SE Vijay Kumar participated.
