Titli-hit industries to get relief in Srikakulam
With an aim to provide relief to the damaged industrial units in the Titli affected areas, the government has announced 11 type of tax exemptions and issued a GO MS No 134 in this regard
Srikakulam: With an aim to provide relief to the damaged industrial units in the Titli affected areas, the government has announced 11 type of tax exemptions and issued a GO MS No 134 in this regard.
In Srikakulam, 451 industrial units were damaged and loss was estimated as Rs 143 crore. All registered units and industries which are having insurance coverage will get government relief. Under the GO, six months period provided for payment of property tax, salesac tax, power bills, repayment of loans under various schemes and stamp duty payment for all affected industrial units in the district.
The government also decided to clear all types of subsidies under various schemes amounting to Rs 17 crore pending for the last two years.The also planned to give incentives like Rs 25, 000 for Rs 25 lakh worth investment units and Rs 50,000 for Rs 5 crore worth investment units.
To get all the exemptions from the government registration with District Industrial Centre (DIC) is compulsory, said DIC general manager B Gopala Krishna.
