Amaravati: The forest department will fill the 800 vacancies through the AP Public Service Commission, said minister for forests and environment sciences Sidda Raghava Rao.

Holding a review with the department officials on Thursday at the Secretariat, Raghava Rao said that rumours were being spreading about the backdoor recruitment to the vacant posts in the department and warned that he would not tolerate any such irregularities.

He asserted all recruitments would be done through APPSC only in the department. The minister made this comments in the backdrop of reports that some middlemen collected money from unemployed youth promising government job without any exams.

Raghava Rao said that the ongoing Vanam Manam programme would conclude on November 23 on the occasion of Kaarthika Vana Samaradhana, a religious programme. He explained that by that day, the programme will complete exactly 123 days.
