Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is going to issue notifications to fill vacancies in various government departments in the state very soon. Initially, it will issue notification to fill Assistant Executive Engineers posts in various departments immediately.

Later, it will issue notifications to fill Group-1, Group-2, Group-3 posts. Vacancies in Medical and Health department, Higher Education department, Secretariat and vacancies in the Home department, Motor Vehicle Inspector posts, Food Inspector posts, lecturer posts in the junior colleges and in the Forest department.

The Finance Department has given green signal to fill 18,450 school teacher posts which will be filled through the DSC-2018. APSSC has already prescribed syllabus for Group-1, Group-2 posts and seeking suggestions. Following orders of the government, the APPSC will be issuing notifications to fill the vacancies in various government departments.

Speaking to the Hans India, APPSC Chairman P Uday Bhaskar said, “We will issue all the notifications by December 31 to fill the posts and conduct tests. We will release notification to fill Assistant Executive Engineer posts. I have given permission to post the notification on the APPSC Website at any time on November 29 night or 30. Our staff will post the notification on the APPSC Website.”

It may be mentioned that the government has already released notification to fill the teacher posts through the DSC -2018.Similarly notification was also issued to fill the SIs and Police Constable posts.

Meanwhile, Nirudyoya Ikya Vedika state convener Kollikonda Venkata Subrahmanyam demanded the government to increase the number of teachers’ posts to be filled through the DSC-2018 to 20,000.

Similarly, increase S I posts to 6000 from 1600. He also demanded increase in the number of junior lecturer posts, Group-2 and Group-3 posts. He urged the government to increase upper age limit for appearing APPSC Test to 44 years.
