Vijayawada: Dr Pinnamaneni and Mrs Seethadevi Foundation has selected the founder of Truth Labs Dr Gandhi PC Kaza and noted folk artiste Karnati Lakshminarasaiah this year for presenting their prestigious 28th annual awards.
Addressing newsmen here on Thursday, Dr C Nageswara Rao, managing trustee of Dr Pinnamaneni and Mrs Seethadevi Foundation, along with managing director of Vilaan Industries T Chandrasekhar announced the names of the recipients of the awards this year. The awards would be presented in a function at Siddhartha Auditorium here on December 16.
It may be recalled that the foundation has been presenting awards for the last 28 years. The earlier recipients include Dr Karan Singh, Dr Kurien, LV Prasad, Lata Mangeshkar, SP Balasubrahmanyam, R K Laxman, Ramanand Sagar, A P J Abdul Kalam, K J Yesudas, Dr Kiran Bedi, Sudha Murty, Dr Jayaprakash Narayan, Dr K Anji Reddy, Dr E Sreedharan, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Dr MS Swaminathan, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia among others.
Gandhi P C Kaza, who retired as inspector general of police, is popular as Truth Labs founder which has been helping the law-enforcing agencies in nabbing the criminals. Karnati Lakshminarasaiah, the 94-years-old thespian, is noted folk artiste who created a niche for himself in the artistic world.
