Vijayawada: The department of English of PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science organised a two-day International Poetry Conference on the college premises on Friday.

Prof James West, former vice-chancellor of American University addressed the gathering through Skype. He spoke on the uniqueness of poetry and university of poetry.

Prof Sree Ramesh, principal of Adikavi Nannaya University College, Dr D Vizai Bhaskar, CEO, Department of Language and Culture, Prof P Raja Shekar of ANU, S Krishna Sarma, retired professor of ANU, Prof KV Raghupathi of Central University, Tiruvuru and Padmaja Iyengar, literary adviser, CCVA were the resource persons.

PBS College principal Dr M Ramesh, Dr G Srilatha, HoD and others were present on the first day of the two-day international poetry conference.
