Kurnool: Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) RP Thakur has inaugurated the Regional Cyber Forensic Lab constructed at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, the DGP said forensic lab will be useful to crack cybercrimes and economic offences.

Around 1,500 police personnel have been imparted basic training to detect cyber frauds, he said and added analysis and training centres will come up at Vijayawada and Anantapur soon. IGP N Sanjay, DIGs Ch Srikanth and D Nagendra Kumar, District Collector S Satyanarayana and other police officials were present.
