Bajaj V15 official city-wise prices announced

The bike is available in two colors and is marketed as a special edition.Following the price leak, the official prices for the Bajaj V15 special 150 cc commuter motorcycle have been announced. The two wheeler is made with metal from the INS Vikrant naval carrier which was scrapped in 2014.

A small portion of the metal is used in the V15’s fuel tank to commemorate the country’s first naval aircraft carrier which played a crucial role in 1971 Indo-Pak war. Positioned between the Discover and Pulsar brands, the design of the new Bajaj is fresh with muscular fuel tank, a new bikini fairing with pilot lamps and a semi-low slung stance. The motorcycle is available in two color options – Pearl White and Black (both feature contrasting red decals).

Salient features include removable rear cowl, wider tyres, LED tail lamp in chrome casing, front, comfortable seats, analogue instrument panel with LED fuel level indicator, etc.

Powering the Bajaj V15 is a 150 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which is mated to a 5-speed gearbox to produce a rather modest 12 PS and 13 Nm of torque. Front telescopic fork and twin rear coil-spring shock absorbers handle the suspension duty.

The Bajaj V15 has a production capacity of 20,000 units a month which can be easily increased if the demand is high. Given that only a little amount of the metal from INR Vikrant is used each example, Bajaj is expected to sell the bike for several months before running of the special raw material.
