Hyundai India has added new safety features to their line-up of Grand i10, Eon and Xcent. With more buyers focusing on car safety features, Hyundai India is upgrading the same on their line-up of cars. Earlier this year, the company made dual airbags as standard on the Elite i20, i20 Active and Verna. Now, they have added more safety features to Grand i10 hatchback, Xcent compact sedan and Eon entry level hatchback.

The Hyundai Grand i10 is now being offered in four variants that include the Era, Magna, Sportz and Asta (O). Asta trim from the Grand i10 lineup has been removed while the top variant continues to be the Asta (O). Added driver airbag is offered as standard along with passenger airbag from the Sportz variant.

While ABS was offered as standard on the Hyundai Xcent, the company has now included Antilock Brake System and driver side airbags. Dual front airbags have been added to Hyundai Xcent SX and SX(O).

Hyundai Eon receives driver airbag across all variants besides the D-Lite. Top of the line Sportz variant gets driver side airbags as standard.

In celebration of 20 years of launch in India, HMIL will also launch special editions of the Xcent and Grand i10 in the coming weeks. While the Xcent special edition is slated for launch later this month, the special edition Grand i10 hatchback will be launched in May.

Both these special editions will not see any changes where engine specifications are concerned but will receive both external and internal updates and special edition stickers. Expected updates include sports pedals and floor mats besides steering mounted controls, rear spoiler and reverse sensors. Only a limited number will be produced to retain exclusivity.
