Just as the chatter about the BMW G310R started waning, the two-wheeler maker has come up with an interesting promotional video. The made-in-India motorcycle is expected to make its global sales debut in the coming months.

Developed as a part of the technology cooperation agreement with India’s TVS Motor Co., the G310R has been completely engineered by BMW. TVS will be in charge of production of the street fighter at its Hosur facility.

As a part of the agreement, TVS will have its own derivative based on the same platform but it will be a fully faired motorcycle. The Akula 310 concept serves as a design precursor to the flagship TVS.

Coming back to the G310R, as the promo video indicates, BMW Motorrad is targeting young and active customers. The most affordable Beemer would be a good stepping stone for a rider into the world of bigger sportsbikes.

Powered by a 313 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is pivoted by 180-degrees (the exhaust downtube is on the inner side), the G310R produces 34 PS and 28 Nm of torque. Transmission is a 6-speed unit.
