In a bid to have more bonding between industry and academic, the Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FTAPCCI) has signed an agreement with city based Institute of Public Enterprises (IPE). 

Hyderabad: In a bid to have more bonding between industry and academic, the Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FTAPCCI) has signed an agreement with city based Institute of Public Enterprises (IPE).

The MoU is signed by Prof RK Misra, Director, IPE and FTAPCCI’s President Anil Reddy Vennam at FTAPCCI house here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, IPE Director Prof Misra said, that the institute is intended to take up various research programmes in collaborating with FTAPCCI which will benefit the industry big and/or small in both the states.

“We want the industry to participate actively in the development of the curriculum for various academic and research programmes being undertaken by the institute,” Misra said. The institute is now plans to introduce new programmes to suite to the local industry needs, he added.

Prof Misra called upon the local industrialists to make visits to the institute often to encourage the students and also monitor the training activity, as most of these students will form part of the talent pool expected to be engaged by the industry.

Responding to the request, FTAPCCI President Anil Reddy said that the federation will utilise all the facilities and services including the research capabilities of the institute especially in the area of ‘ease of doing business’, in both the telugu states. “We will have more active participation in the activities of the institute, including in research and training programmes,” Reddy said.
