Tirumala: The Vedas are the manual to guide people to lead a righteous way of life which ultimately leads to happiness across the globe and there is every need to promote Vedic education to which TTD is committed, asserted TTD Board Chairman Kanumuri Bapiraju.
Addressing the 123rd convocation ceremony of Sri Venkateswara Veda Pathashala at Dharmagiri in Tirumala on Friday, the TTD Chairman complimenting Vedic students, said there is no better place which is more pious than Tirumala to learn Vedic education.
He asked the students to dedicate themselves in the mission of imparting and spreading Vedic knowledge in the society.
Renowned physician Dr Alladi Mohan said no aspect of life was outside the purview of the Vedas. Defining Vedas as apaurusheya (of divine origin), he said the Vedas are the final command and unquestionable", he maintained. He called upon the students to propagate these noble values of Vedas to world with the knowledge they have obtained in Veda Pathashala. "Nothing in this world can be equated with the importance of the Vedas as they are eternal. “The Vedas taught on the remedy for TB disease thousands of years ago itself when science is little known to society", he said.
In his presidential address Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju said, “The main motto of TTD is to protect Vedas which are the identity of Hindu Sanatana Dharma. The students should preach the knowledge embedded in Vedas to the world", he added. Later, certificates have been presented to 72 students who excelled in various divisions of Vedas. CVSO GVG Ashok Kumar, Principal Avadhani were present.
