Manoj puts his body on the line

Known to put his body on the line for action sequences, Manchu Manoj has done something similar for ‘Current Theega’, his forthcoming project, currently progressing at the actor’s friend’s farm house in Hyderabad. While shooting for one of the stunt sequences on Thursday, the actor had a close shave when his body caught fire. However, the actor’s presence of mind ensured that he escaped from potential danger. “Finished the fight successfully just now :) almost got burnt... Thank god there was mud all over… well got some gr8 shots (sic),” he posted on his Facebook page.

Well, this is not the first time that the Manchu lad, who composes stunt sequences on his own, has met with an accident on sets. Shooting for an action block for ‘Uu Kodathara Ulikkipadathara’ a couple of years ago, he broke his nose and suffered a burn mark on his bicep. Before that, on the sets of ‘Mr Nookayya’ in Bangkok, he fell down on a pile of drums, which rolled over him. After discovering that he was unconscious for a while, the unit members had to rush him to a nearby hospital where he received first aid. Even during the shoot of ‘Potugadu’ last year, the actor sustained minor injuries.
