Salman ready for Shhuddhi

After Hrithik Roshan opted out of Karan Johar’s ‘Shhuddhi’, there were several speculations as to who would be a perfect replacement for him. However, ‘Dabangg’ star Salman Khan finally let the cat out of the bag and revealed that he has given the nod to ‘Shhuddhi’, in an interview with a leading website.

Salman had said in the interview, “I am also doing Karan Johar’s film called ‘Shuddhi’ which I would probably start in a while.”

He added, “After ‘Kick’, I am going to finish shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s film. Then I have Kabir Khan’s film and Boney Kapoor’s ‘No Entry Mein Entry’. Following that I also have Aditya Chopra’s ‘Sultan’ and a film with Mahesh Manjrekar.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar also confirmed the news and announced that the duo would pair up for the film which will release in 2016.

On Wednesday, Karan took to Twitter and wrote, “#SHHUDDHI will star SALMAN KHAN and will release Diwali 2016.....@shhuddhimovie (sic)”

Intially, Kareena Kapoor was selected for the female lead. But as she dropped out, it is yet to be seen who will be roped in as the female lead. The film will be directed by Karan Malhotra.
