Indie Fiesta-2015 to boost short filmmakers

Indie Fiesta 2015, an exclusive short film award function, was announced at the Film Chambers in Film Nagar on Wednesday. Renowned film critic and director of the movie ‘Pesarattu’ Mahesh Kathi and Mrs South Asia International Ruchika Sharma were the guests of the event.

At a time when words like ‘Lights, Action, Cut’ are no more distant to the young minds who have the most vivid imagination, young directors and filmmakers are emerging from every nook and corner and the short film genre is explosively increasing its magnitude today.

To appreciate this young talent, Indie Fiesta-2015, a short film award function is being organised by Sanskrutha Creative Agency, for the first time in the film industry. Just like the mainstream award function, even Indie Fiesta-2015 will have awards ranging from best actor, best director, best cinematographer, best editing, best dubbing artiste et al.

Besides this, there is ‘The Grand Indie Fiesta Awards’ worth Rs 10,00,000. There are 10 consolation awards and an early bird recognition award. If the passion proves ones commitment, participants may also win an opportunity to work in feature films. Entries are open for interested filmmakers till December 31.

Duration of the submitted short films can be up to 60 minutes and can be about any topic. A special panel of judges will shortlist the movies and final selection of the winners will be decided by industry professionals.
