One of the prominent cinematographers' of Southern Film Industry, A. Vincent, died on Wednesday at 86 following prolonged illness.

Vincent's last movie is 'Annamaya' after which the veteran cinematographer chose to retire. Collaborating with almost all top actors of Tollywood, Vincent handled the cinematography with NTR's famous 'Adavi Ramudu'. Vincent’s other prominent movies include ‘Soggadu’, ‘Major ChandraKanth’, ‘Nari Nari Naduma Murari’, ‘Bobbili Simham’ and ‘Sahasa Veerudu Sagara Kanya’. Vincent also collaborated with Chiranjeevi in movies like ‘Aapathbandhavudu’ and ‘Gharana Mogudu’. He is survived by wife Margaret and sons who are also popular cinematographers Ajayan Vincent and Jayanan Vincent.


A Vincent was born on June 14, 1928 and has been behind many landmark films. Some of his work included most of K Raghavendra Rao's commercial entertainers while his son Jayanan Vincent is known for his movies starring Pawan Kalyan including ‘Gabbar Singh’ and recent release ‘Gopala Gopala’.


With the news of Vincent’s demise, condolences poured in on Twitter by director's K.Raghavendra Rao, Harish Shankar, and many others.
