'Gangs Of Wasseypur' fame writer/actor Zeishan Quadri is all set to make his directorial debut with 'Meeruthiya Gangsters', a realistic drama.

The first look of the film is released today on social media and looks very interesting.

The teaser poster has visuals of shabbily dressed men, money, alcohol, guns, crime and an interesting tag line - 'Hero Bhi, Villain Bhi'.

Written and directed by Zeishan Quadri, “Meeruthiya Gangsters” is a tale of six friend’s aka brothers in arms, bound by loyalty and friendship than blood, who enter the realm of crime in the wild city of Meerut.

Besides editing 'Meeruthiya Gangsters', Anurag Kashyap is also presenting the film along with Prateek Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The theme of gangs and crime from 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' is carried forward by Zeishan with his film.

While interacting with media, Zeishan said, “ This is my first film as director and I’m really keen to see the response to the teaser poster of the film. I am grateful to Shoeb Ahmed and Prateek Entertainment, who have backed me tremendously. Even Anurag sir's guidance was very helpful. Taking this new turn of my life into direction was not easy, but I’ve always relished facing challenges in life.”

Post-releasing the first look of the film, the producer Shoeb Ahmed shared with excitement and confidence, "Next release will be 'Meeruthiya Gangsters' digital poster, which shall be unveiled very soon."

The cast is relatively known, with Jaideep Ahlawat, Mukul Dev, Sanjay Mishra, Ashish Dahiya, Brijendra Kala among others handling the acting department. The two female leads are played by Nushrat Bharucha and Ishita Sharma who were seen in ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama’.

The film is going to be a hard-hitting reality that will show the kidnappers not as seasoned criminal like every other Bollywood film but how they really are.

The film will hit the screen on 18th September 2015.
