Currently one of the most sought after actress in T-town, she is now in preparation to essay lecturer in her next Telugu outing opposite Naga Chaitanya, a remake of Malayalam smash hit ‘Premam’.

The Haasan girl, who will reprise Sai Pallavi in the Telugu version, seems excited to show a different side of her skills. From the look of her character to its aptitude, Shruti is said to have been doing rigorous research to portray the part with finesse.

A source close the actress says, “She is taking notes on from the makers about her role and how a new-age lecturer looks and behaves. She’s reading books, watching several campus-based films and finding out from her friends about the new trends on styling in college.”

Since this is the first time she’s essaying a role of such kind, she’s game to go for a makeover in terms of her appearance. “The styling team is currently working on her costumes and looks. A lot of detailing is going on into her hairdo but the makers have not zeroed in on any specific look yet. Since her role is unusual, lengthy and the one which defines the film, the makers are cautious not to over experiment with her image,” adds the source.

‘Premam’ remake, tentatively titled ‘Majnu’, will go on to floors in the first week of December in Visakhapatnam. Director Chandoo Mondeti, according to the source, has given a unique makeover to the script, a coming-of-age romantic-musical, keeping in mind the sensibilities of Telugu audience.
