Gopi Chand‘s much awaited film Soukyam that released on December 24th is going strong at the box office. Having releases in over 1500+ screens worldwide, Soukyam starring Gopichand and Regina Cassandra in lead roles has been made on an estimated budget of Rs 20 – 30 crore.
Soukyam opened to mixed reviews from critics and public with box collections amounting to Rs 2.5 crores on the first day failing to beat Gopichand's earlier movie Jill opening day collections of Rs 3 crore. However, the Christmas season has turned in favour of the movie as most of the theaters all around Andhra Pradesh and Telangana witnessed an attendance of more than 80% taking the second day collections to Rs 8.37 crore.
