Celebrity break-ups which shook the film industry

In India, people are crazy for B-town celebrities and have a special connect with them; we love to know everything about them. Their personas they present is sometimes very different from what they show. The life of a celebrity is surrounded by glitz and glamour but despite that, at the end of a day they are human beings after all. Like a normal human being has their ups and downs, a celebrity also goes through many ups and downs in their life.

It’s one industry, where relationships form every day and break the other day. We keep on hearing the rumours of link-ups, affairs of these celebrities, but the worst part is when their relationship goes kaput. Break-up in itself is a very sad term, and in celebrities’ case, it always occupies our mind for days, as we are so much emotionally attached with the lives of our favourite couple. It’s true that you meet your soulmate on the way to your life, but sometimes the person we love might not be our soulmate and that becomes true in the life of these celebrities.

The year 2015 was hard on the lives of our favourite celebrities and took a toll on their relationships. These celebrities we admired a lot, some we thought were going to live happily ever after and some to whom we admired for their love towards their partner and thought of them as our inspiration. Here we give you a list of those divorces/break-ups that actually shook the nation like a storm.

Karisma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapur
Acclaimed Kapoor Khandan’s eldest daughter Karisma Kapoor and Delhi based Industrialist Sanjay Kapur finally made clear of their relationship and filed fresh divorce petition in 2015. Karisma’s life was has been a roller coaster ride since the time she married. Previous to this marriage, she was engaged to Abhishek Bachchanin October 2002 and broke the engagement in just 4 months. Her growing closeness with Sanjay culminated into marriage and they were married by the end of 2003. Their marriage was widely spoken, photographed event in the history of Bollywood. They have two kids – a daughter namedSamaira and a son named Kiaan Raj Kapoor.

Nandish Sandhu and Rashami Desai

Hitched in 2012 and divorced in 2015! TV’s estranged couple, who were on an on-off relationship and tried for reconciliation in the public glare finally called quits in 2015 end. There were differences in their married life and they even dared to acknowledge it on the national television on the sets of ‘Nach Baliye’that they had issues and were trying hard to sort them out. Rashami had filed the divorce papers in 2014 also, but Nandish pursued her to reconcile. On his relationship he even gave a statement to Bollywoodlife.com saying, “I’ve given our relationship my 100 percent but looks like it was something not meant to be.”

PulkitSamrat and Shweta Rohira

The Fukrey actor and Salman Khan’s Rakhi Sister married in 2014 with blessings from Salman Khan himself. Their marriage was publicised as Salman gave the Kanyadaan of Shweta. They are separated for now and have not divorced each other. Speculations were rife that it was the affair between Pulkit and YamiGautam (his co-star from the movie Sanam Re) that led to the divorce, but Shweta had declined the same. Recently, even Pulkit refuted the same and said the stories of link up between him and Yami were fabricated for the promotion of their movie Sanam Re.

Karan Singh Grover and Jennifer Winget

From friends to best friends to lover and to being partners. Karan Singh Grover the heartthrob of Television industry and Jennifer Winget officially filled the divorce petition. Previous to Jennifer, Karan was married to actress Shraddha Nigam and after 4 years of divorce with Shraddha, he had fallen in love with Jennifer. The two looked like angels when they were together, but Karan’s flirtatious ways made their separation. Rumours are also rife that it might be his closeness to the Bollywood bombshell BipashaBasu that the couple had to go separate ways.

ShaleenBhanot and DaljeetKaur
Their’s is a scene straight out of a Crime Patrol, which is a drama series showing real life cases. Shaleen and Daljeetwere a much loved couple and met in 2006 during the shooting of one of the serial they worked together. They married soon after their win from Nach Baliye and trouble in their paradise started just after the next day, where Shaleen stated her mother-in-law got miffed with the gifts she received in the marriage. Stating her ordeal, Daljeet said on several occasions, Shaleen had hit her, abused her and even tried to strangulate her. The estranged couple have a son and their divorce petition is in the court.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif

The year 2015 saw the differences between the much in love couple Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Since Ranbir and DeepikaPadukone’s movie Tamasha promotions started, rumours starting doing the rounds that the couple had some differences and there was trouble in their paradise. RanKat as they were fondly called by their fans grew apart, as Katrina didn’t approve of his closeness with his ex-flame Deepika. The romance between Deepika-Ranbir had been a talking point since the time they were together. Ranbir and Katrina tried their level best to put rest to these rumours, but with the New Year, it was confirmed that two have parted ways as Ranbir had moved out of the plush bungalow and was living with his parents. They even started making solo appearances and avoided each other at the events.

Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Akhtar
With the starting of 2016, rumours started doing the rounds that Farhan Akhtar and his wife of 15 years were ending their relationship and it soon became visible for everyone when the divorce petition was filed. Their ending of relationship was being blamed on his Waziractress Aditi Rao Hyadri, who is very beautiful. They married after dating for 3 years in the year 2000.The couple have two daughters Shakya and Akira and have maintained that the reason for split is “a matter of growing part.” Farhan has also said in an interview that he is willing to pay a one-time alimony to his wife rather than a monthly compensation.
While we pray for these stars to get lucky in 2016, it’s just a matter of time and they might find love again. 
