While honing horse riding skills was his first step towards the preparation for the King’s role in his forthcoming 100th film ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’, Nandamuri Balakrishna is now in the process of shedding weight.

The actor has been working out rigorously for around one and half hour daily to look in best shape for the period drama. His workout comprises of yoga, cardio and weight training sessions, apart from the regular treadmill.

Balayya has already been on a strict diet regime avoiding carbs and indulging in salads, soups, veggies, protein shakes and 5-6 small meals per day (along with fresh juice). He is also drinking four-five liters of water daily.

A source close to the actor reveals, “Balayya’s focus has been completely on the landmark film and is contributing in a big way. For him being fit helps improve his concentration, willpower and determination.” While the project will go on floors in May, the film’s director Krish is on the lookout for the leading lady.
