Ram Charan, who is one of the most sought after actors in the country and has a choc-a-bloc schedule, is taking time out to start work on a special project, a film he is producing for his father, megastar Chiranjeevi.
The film directed by VV Vinayak, will be Chiranjeevi’s 150th film and was today launched at Ram Charan’s office in Jubilee Hills.
The film will be a remake of the Tamil superhit Kathi. The ambitious project will be produced under Ram Charan’s home banner, Konidela Productions with music by Tollywood’s DSP.
Says a source, “Today was the first mahurat shot of Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, produced by his son Ram Charan. Ram has always wanted to do something special to celebrate his father’s achievement and what better way than to make a film to celebrate his superstardom and success. He is producing the film under his home banner,Konidela Productions and the mahurat too took place at the production office. The shoot began with its first clap by Paruchuri Venkateshwara garu.”
VV Vinayak has directed Shri Chiranjeevi's blockbuster Tagore and super hit Nayak with Ram Charan previously. Shri Chiranjeevi’s movies are remade in Bollywood and became big hits- the most recent is Bhajrangi Bhaijaan.
