The teaser of ‘Jaguar,’ featuring Karnataka former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumar in the lead, was unveiled in Hyderabad on Sunday. A bevy of noted faces T Subbarami Reddy, Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu, and Ganta Srinivasa Rao participated in the high-profile launch.

Speaking later, film’s presenter Kumaraswamy said, “It is the happiest day of my life. Writer Vijayendra Prasad is the reason behind me making the film in Telugu too. When he met me to narrate the film’s script, he suggested me to not limit the film to Kannada alone. I simply took his advice.”

Prasad said when he was asked to pen the film’s script, he was least interested. “But as soon as saw a show reel of Nikhil, I found a certain spark in him, prompting to come up with a script for him.”

Jagapathi Babu, who is playing a CBI sleuth in the actioner, said Nikhil is in the safe hands of Prasad, Mahadev (director) and Manoj Paramahamsa (cinematographer). “Kumaraswamy was present throughout the shoot, monitoring every production activity. He even roped in ‘Mission Impossible’ technicians for the film,” Babu noted.

Nikhil said he loves Telugu language and grew up watching Telugu movies. “I’ve did my best for ‘Jaguar.’ My father has done lot of things to me and whatever I do in return for him will be negligible. I hope Telugu audience will bless me,” he said.
