Right now, enacting a well-defined role,” says a source, close to the actress and adds, “She is happy with love and affection bestowed on her by Telugu viewers, so her priority will be Telugu films, although, she likes to do other language films once-in-a-while,’’.

In fact the daughter of army personnel has become the most-sought-after actress in T-town as she shared screen space with reigning stars like Jr NTR (‘Nannaku Prematho’), Allu Arjun (‘Sarrainodu’), Ram Charan (‘Dhruva’) and her latest blockbuster was ‘Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam’ with Akkineni scion Naga Chaitanya.

“Rakul is undisputed numero uno actress in T-town and gets a pay cheque of above Rs 1.5 crore. Besides she is now working with another superstar Mahesh Babu in ‘SPYder’ and has a few more plum offers in the pipeline and racing ahead of her peers,’ he adds.

Actually, Rakul made her B-town debut with ‘Yaariyan’ in 2014 but it failed to set box-office on fire. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old actress is sharing screen space with leading Tamil star Karthi in big-ticket Tamil film ‘Theeran Aadhigaram Ondru’. Needless to say the actress is going places in varied languages and giving her arch rivals like Tammanah, Shruti and Kaajal a run for their money in T’wood. Good going indeed!
