Hyderabad: A software employee from Karnataka, who was working with an IT major in Hyderabad, allegedly committed suicide in the early hours of Sunday by jumping from the third-floor of a building in the city's Singapore Township.
The deceased, identified as Deepak, 33, who hailed from Hubli, initially attempted suicide by slashing his wrist and later went to the third floor of the building and jumped to death, police said.
“He joined a software organisation in Hyderabad on November 18 on transfer from Bangalore. He rented a flat in the Singapore Township in Annojiguda area under Ghatkesar mandal on November 24. He was staying alone in the flat,” said V V Chalapathi, Ghatkesar police inspector.
No suicide note was found. The parents and family members of Deepak have been informed about the incident. “After recording their statement, we will come to know the exact reason as to why he resorted to the extreme step,” he said.
