One killed as 2 cars collide

Hyderabad: In a gruesome accident involving two cars, a man was killed while his father escaped with injuries under Shamirpet police station limits during the early hours on Sunday.

According to police, an Alto driven by one Anand Reddy, 40, was going towards Keesara village, while a Swift car driven by one Sridhar, 35, was coming towards Outer Ring Road at Shamirpet. At a turning near Anthaipally, both vehicles collided head on, resulting in instant death of Anand Reddy, while his father Krishna Reddy, 72 and Sridhar, 35, escaped with fractures on limbs and ribs. Both the father and the son were going towards their farm, situated close to Keesara.
