Hyderabad: An HoD of a private engineering college allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself under Saidabad police station limits in the early hours of Thursday.
According to police, the deceased C Sunitha Reddy, Head of Department of Sri Indu College, was found hanging at her Karan Bagh residence in Saidabad area on Thursday morning.
Her husband, Praveen Reddy, told the police that his wife was going through depression and the same was suspected to have driven her to suicide. However, police said they did not recover any suicide note from the spot.
Saidabad police registered a case under Section 174 (suspicious death) of the CrPC. Further investigation is underway.
